Lucas Hand Racing

Lucas Hand is a 17-year-old racing driver from Calgary, Alberta, competing in the 2026 Formula Pro USA Championship with Kiwi Motorsports. Starting in karts in 2022 at 14 yrs old, his passion was demonstrated early when in his first full season he finished 3rd in the championship. In his first-EVER F4 race at Laguna Seca he achieved a lap record in the F4 car, and beat it the next day in the Quali session by more than 3 tenths becoming the first F4 driver to go below the 1:30.000 mark. In his short time racing Lucas has rapidly progressed through professional coaching, dedicated hours of sim-racing, formula car testing, and his passion for competition. Under the support of Canada’s own Road to Racing driver development program and with his manager, former IndyCar driver Jeff Bucknum, Lucas is building toward a professional motorsports career with his sights set on Formula 4 and beyond.
