Lucas Hand is a 17-year-old racing driver from Calgary, Alberta, competing in the 2026 Formula Pro USA Championship with Kiwi Motorsports. Starting in karts in 2022 at 14 yrs old, his passion was demonstrated early when in his first full season he finished 3rd in the championship. In his first-EVER formula car test in 2025, Lucas posted lap times that would have qualified him 16 out of 22 cars in the most recent race at that track, demonstrating exceptional natural talent. In his short time racing Lucas has rapidly progressed through professional coaching with Alloy Racing, dedicated online sim-racing and formula car testing. Under the support of Canada’s own Road to Racing driver development program and with his manager, former IndyCar driver Jeff Bucknum, Lucas is building toward a professional motorsports career with his sights set on Formula 4 and beyond.
