Lucas Hand is a 17-year-old racing driver from Calgary, Alberta, competing in open-wheel formula racing. Starting karts at 14 — later than most — he made up ground fast: a third-place CKRC Championship finish in his first full season. Transitioning to cars in 2025 he received an invitation to test with Berg Racing after exceeding expectations at their Formula Racing School in California. In his very first day in a Ligier JFC car at Virginia International Raceway he posted a lap time that would have qualified him 16 out of 22 cars in the last race at that track - on his first day!
Lucas is defined by his mental discipline on track — lap times consistent within a tenth, composure under pressure, and a clean, respectful racing style he carries as a point of identity. He's worked with professional coaches on the psychological side of performance and credits that work with a step-change in his results. Off track, he brings the same approach: methodical, professional, and purpose-driven.
He has logged over 3,500 hours in sim racing and works with coaches year-round. He is available for speaking engagements, media, coaching and partnership inquiries.

Formula Pro USA Western Championship is an affordable, professional West Coast series, ideal for karting drivers transitioning to higher-level formula racing.
